When I went and got my contacts, the lady checked my eyes just like the optometrist did. She asked me a couple of questions about what kind I would like (hard or soft lens) and she explained a little about each of them. Based on a recommendation from your optometrist the contact specialist will find a pair that feels comfortable on you and will make your eyes comfortable.
